The place was filled with countless dogs waiting to see the vet. One thing in common, they were all terrified too. When Trixie was there, she struggled with all her might to escape but to no avail as the nurse called her in. I could not enter as they were going to perform a surgery to take out her ovary and uterus so that she will not reproduce anymore. All I knew was that she was given an anesthetic to keep her from fidgeting.
I came to collect her in the evening. She looked all worn out and dog-tired. It was the anesthetic, the nurse told me. Trixie had to wear a buster to keep her from scratching her stitched-up wound for 2 weeks. I really pitied her as she had to take antibiotics and heart worm tablets everyday. These were to protect her heart from Aedes mosquito bites.
Well, I hope everything will be over for Trixie by next week- the medications and the wearing of the buster. :(
